The Dennis Wheatley 'Museum' - The Post War YearsDENNIS WHEATELY My Dear Shirley (Long), This is just a line to send you a personal copy of my new venture, which is to be published on July 3rd. I greatly enjoyed writing it but now feel as nervous as a cat on hot bricks; this being my first foray into historical romance. I gather, too, that books are slumping badly, so I am more than ever anxious to get it a good start off. If therefore, you feel that you could do anything to help it along, I should be deeply gratefull (sic). I’m still hoping to get along to a Paternoster lunch some-time, but I rarely go up to London for more than a night, and my visits are nearly always governed by business appointments, and otherwise I find it very difficult to drag myself away from the country.
All the best Yours ever Dennis |
