The Dennis Wheatley 'Museum' - Gordon Eric Gordon-TombeGordon-Tombe’s female friends /2
The second of Gordon-Tombe's major girlfriends was “Desirée”, an actress and a doctor’s wife. Desirée was not in good health, but had a keen intellect.
DW wrote a number of letters to Gordon-Tombe in which he explored whether Gordon-Tombe would be happiest with Beatrice or Desirée in the long term. Another ‘friend’ was a secretary from Earls Court called Dolly, who was willing to try whatever sexual adventures Gordon-Tombe might suggest. Gordon-Tombe wrote to DW : 'She grows more splendid every day ... last night we had a long discourse on Masochism and Sadism - she wanted me to buy a dog whip and experiment ...' When Gordon-Tombe was away from England he would tell Dolly he was on secret government business in Russia, and he was an expert in keeping his life ‘compartmentalised’ into a series of little boxes. Other girlfriends were Nellie, Kittie, Peggy, la Belle Americaine and Mrs Hall ... References : Phil Baker pp 162, 182-94,197,215,229
