The Dennis Wheatley 'Museum' - The Women in DW's life

The Kwan Yin Girl

In 1921, DW was feeling lonely and in need of a woman. Passing Aspreys, he noticed a figure of Kwan Yin, the Chinese Queen of Heaven, in their window. He silently offered her a prayer to send him a pretty mistress and almost immediately he noticed the reflection of a pretty girl in the shop window.

She was willing to engage in conversation, and turned out to be an artist's model who shared a room with another girl. One thing led to another, and she became DW's mistress for a while.

Unfortunately they had nothing but a physical relationship in common, and charming as she was this was insufficient for the relationship to last and the affair gradually petered out.
